Is hair length something Christians should be concerned about? Is it legalism to mention hair length at all under grace? Here are the Biblical facts:
Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering. If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practice – nor do the churches of God. (1 Cor 11:14-16)
The Biblical head covering for Christian women has been so elevated by some that it is their primary checkpoint to consider a professing Christian woman as a real Christian or not! Of course, it also has to be of the color, size and shape accepted by that same group!
In Old Testament times, the “house of God” was a building in one specific location (Psa 84:10). However, after Jesus died on the cross, the physical body of the Christian is the temple (or house) of God. Again, the house of God is not a church building now. Christians are the house of God, but only if they hold on to their courage and the hope of which they boast (Heb 3:6). See also 1 Cor 3:16,17 in the NKJV.
Please also know that the man made, so-called tabernacle inside the Catholic church where the left over wafers (or Eucharist) are kept is not the house of God:
However, the Most High does not live in houses made by men. (Acts 7:48)

Hymenaeus and Philetus were first century false teachers, who were previously saved:
Their teaching will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, who have wandered away from the truth. They say that the resurrection has already taken place, and they destroy the faith of some. (2 Tim 2:17,18)
That alone reflects the intensity of the Christian life, for it reveals two people who once had salvation, but since wandered away from it! Somehow the devil got them to accept a lie about the resurrection. After they were deceived, they in turn spread false teaching about the resurrection. That had a destructive effect on the Christians who were not guarded and got deceived. It actually destroyed their faith! Points to remember are:
● Christians should not be listening to false teachers.
● Paul named the false teachers for the sake of Christian truth.
● Being taught certain false doctrine can destroy your faith! If one has his faith destroyed, he is no longer a Christian and is back on the road to hell again.
These show how dangerous false teachers and false doctrine can be! It is not good enough to just believe in God (as do the demons), for Hymenaeus and Philetus still did that and they had wandered from the faith.

Too often, those who have found true salvation have afterwards turned away from the Lord Jesus and have become both spiritually dead and lost again like the prodigal son did (Luke 15:24). Some of the people who lose their salvation want to find their way back to God, but feel that they may have sinned too much to ever be forgiven. In contrast, the Bible gives us examples of how others have returned to God and have been forgiven again. When a person becomes repentant, turning away from their idols to serve God, they can find forgiveness and salvation.
Holiness Preacher Dan Corner uses examples in the Bible to show that God provides forgiveness to those who have become backsliders, who repent so that they can live a spiritual life again. Dan Corner uses the words of the Bible to explain this and many issues that are of present-day concerns to Christians and those who are looking for salvation. The woes in the Bible are important to take note of. One seems to specifically address ministry popularity unlike anything else. It is also related to a characteristic of the false prophets. Ponder it carefully:
Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets. (Luke 6:26)
NOTE: The very thing that many seek after—having all men speak well of them—is the exact thing that Christians, especially teachers, should never seek after. It is not a characteristic which reflects spiritual achievement or sound doctrine. That type of popularity comes at a high price—compromise. When preachers soften the Biblical message for the sake of the favor of the audience, truth becomes a side issue or even a non-issue. That in turn leads to false doctrine, sin and the destruction of precious SOULS. True servants of God are commanded to teach the message of the Bible, even when it is not popular and may upset the hearers. That is how the Lord and his followers did it. Truth is what people vitally need, even if the majority walk away after hearing it, as happened with the Lord Jesus (John 6:66). Until people get exposed to, and acquainted with God’s truth, they will be easy prey for the devil.
Did you notice in Luke 6:26 that the false prophets (who are dangerous deceivers) tend to be well liked? That proves one’s popularity doesn’t mean he is sound or is serving God. So what is the criterion? The Scriptures are the test of sound teaching (2 Tim. 3:16,17). If one is proclaiming pleasant fine-sounding things (which allow for immorality and the possession of eternal life at the same time), he is speaking empty words (Eph. 5:5-7), even though they may seem to exalt the cross or the Lord Jesus somehow. That is a common tactic which is used in our day and by which some are duped by. Reader, stay alert and know that the true message from the HOLY Spirit will stress holy living and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:
Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. (Heb 12:14)
Harry Potter is a fictional character created by the author J.K. Rowling in the early 1990’s. Harry Potter has been an issue of controversy for parents and educators alongside the rise in popularity of the Harry Potter book series and movies. One of the main concerns for parents and Christians is that Harry Potter, a “wizard,” spreads the idea of the occult especially to young and impressionable children. Many worry that the popularity of Harry Potter is correlated to the deadly rise in the interest of witchcraft, a soul-damning sin (Rev. 21:8).
Bible Teacher Dan Corner speaks out about these concerns and others, regarding the popularity of Harry Potter, witchcraft and the occult. To read Dan Corner’s Christian teachings visit http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/

Divorce is not the dissolution of a marriage—death is, according to the Bible (Rom. 7:2,3). However, as far as our society views it, about 50% of all marriages in the USA end in divorce. The divorce rate actually increases for the second “marriage” and even more for the third “marriage.” Those statistics are distressing but true, and such an epidemic of divorce has led to a proliferation of adultery. In the 20th century the occurrence of divorce has greatly increased because of TV. There are multiple reasons for divorce, but the most common is infidelity. With the false teaching of eternal security, proponents are wrongly thinking they will remain saved even if they stray into adultery. Hence, divorces continue to increase.
Using Biblical passages, Dan Corner discusses divorce and possible remarriage, as well as Christian dating. To read Bible related truths on marriage, divorce, remarriage, adultery and other issues regarding sex and morality, please visit http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/sex.htm.
The Catholic church continues to present an image of Mary, the mother of Jesus, that is so distorted it is actually Biblically unrecognizable and dangerous! To just single out one of their distortions from the long list of glorified titles and exalted roles the Catholic Mary has been given, the one stating she is the Refuge of Sinners has led to many misguided prayers to her for salvation itself. Imagine that! Sincere people, who want salvation and recognize their own spiritual needs, are going to a non-existent female refuge of sinners, instead of the precious Lord Jesus himself, who is the real Refuge of Sinners! Catholics should realize since the dying thief went to Jesus directly, without any help from Mary, and he got forgiven and found salvation (Lk. 23:42,43), then such will also work for them today. May Catholics go to Jesus as we are shown to do, instead of another, who can’t produce the important desired results.
Even while on earth in his humbled condition, the Lord Jesus had the power to forgive sins (Mark 2:10). Though that is indisputable fact, not everyone got forgiven by him even though the Lord commands all to enter through the narrow gate to life (Mt. 7:13,14) and is not willing that anyone would perish (2 Peter 3:9). Why are some forgiven but not others or even all? The answer is, man has to qualify for his own personal forgiveness and salvation. If there were no conditions placed upon man, then everyone would automatically come to salvation and no one would go to the lake of fire. Those conditions for forgiveness (and initial salvation) are shown to be repentance towards God and faith in Christ Jesus (Acts 20:21). That means the recipient must turn from his idols to serve the true and living God (1 Thess. 1:9) regardless the cost. One must love Jesus more than his own family members to be worthy of Jesus (Mt. 10:34-38).
